Greeting from AIESEC Malaysia
Chinese chess may not be familiar to all of us and some of us do not even know how to play. However, after hearing the story of our 82 year old Mr Teoh and his wish to reminisce old times playing chinese chess, we decided to help him fulfill his wish. We hope that he feels the excitement and enjoy the match.
Chinese Chess, also known as Xiangqi has a long history. Alhough its precise origins have yet to be identified, the earliest indication reveal the game may have been played as early as the first century AD, during the Warring States Period. Judging by its rules, Xiangqi was apparently closely related to military strategists in ancient China.
AIESEC Malaysia Member Committee team is formed by 12 youths from different background. They are now actively involve in AIESEC to explore and develop their leadership potential for them to have a positive impact for the society.
Now , they are coming together on 30 July 2010 , 10 am at NASAM PJ to have a meaningful tournament to fulfill the wish of our 82 year old Mr Teoh.
This is AIESEC Malaysia with Mr. Teoh and Chinese Chess !
